The video Cul-de-sac served as the foundation for a live performance titled Three Piece Suite. In the video, a doubling effect occurs: a conductor sets an emotional rollercoaster in motion, steering a sequence composed of video fragments taken from a soap opera. The interwoven footage of the conductor and the soap opera actors reveals a dynamic reciprocity, where the actors’ emotional expressions are mirrored in the conductor’s bodily responses.
For Gardena Festival at De Player, a new performance was developed, adding a three-part sonic layer in which the themes of translation and reciprocity played a central role.
