The Split or a Yawning (2016), 1'00 excerpt (original 8'00)
The Split or a Yawning takes the form of a rehearsal. The script was premised on the transcripts of an incident in the reality television gameshow Celebrity Big Brother in which the news of the death of the musician David Bowie caused hysteria and confusion among the participants due to the fact that one of them was similarly called David. The transcript was appropriated and further formalized through repetitive language, imitative gestures and sourced props.
Produced during a residency in Wittenberg, Germany and presented at Stadthaus Luterstadt.
